When I was a teenager, I used to wake up around 6AM for my summer job at the beach. Despite the fact temperatures hit the mid to high 80s by 10, the early mornings were always super crisp. To fight the AM chill, I kept an old, oversized sweatshirt from my HS crush in the back of my Subaru. It smelled like salt and sunblock (with subtle notes of spilled coffee and everything bagels). The cuffs were torn, the neck was frayed, and I’m pretty sure the front pocket was held together by at least one safety pin. I loved that sweatshirt. It looked, felt, and smelled like summer. first port’s sweatshirts totally capture that vibe.
